The Hefei Marathon, held in the capital city of Anhui Province, attracts around 30,000 runners each year. Hefei holds a special place in China’s running history — the first official marathon record in the country was set here in Feidong back in 1957. The race showcases the stunning natural beauty surrounding Chaohu Lake, known as the “Eight-Hundred-Li Chaohu,” blending scenic lakeside views with the dynamic energy of a rapidly modernizing city.
