Run the Himalaya Energy Ultra Trail and experience extreme high-altitude racing, Himalayan landscapes, and Tibetan culture on one of China’s most challenging trail courses.
Himalaya Energy Ultra Trail is one of China’s highest and most spectacular ultra-trail races, held in Lulang Town on the edge of the Himalayas. Established in 2019, the event takes runners above 4,600 meters, making it one of the highest-altitude trail races in the country. The course traverses rugged mountain terrain, alpine meadows, and remote Himalayan landscapes, linking iconic viewpoints such as Baifengtai and Gongcuo Lake. Dramatic elevation changes, thin air, and technical trails create a true endurance challenge in the heart of the Tibetan Plateau. Beyond the race itself, runners are immersed in authentic Tibetan culture. Prayer flags, ancient villages, and traditional mani stone piles line sections of the route, blending extreme adventure with the spiritual atmosphere of Tibet. A high-altitude ultra-trail where Himalayan scenery, Tibetan culture, and extreme endurance meet on the Roof of the World.
