The Huzhou Marathon is a major road race held annually in Huzhou, attracting around 16,000 runners and known for its strong integration of sport and marathon tourism. Operated by the same professional race organization team behind the World Athletics Platinum Label Xiamen Marathon, the event is widely recognized for its high-quality race experience and citywide cultural programming. Unlike traditional scenic “lake marathons,” the Huzhou Marathon focuses on urban culture, Jiangnan heritage, and ecological landscapes spread across the city. The course connects a diverse range of landmarks including the Taihu Lake Tourism Resort area, Qiucheng Archaeological Site, Huzhou Film & TV City, and Changtianyang Wetland, forming a multi-themed urban route rather than a single waterfront course.
