Mangshi Water Splashing Festival

The Mangshi Water Splashing Festival Fun Run is a vibrant themed running event held annually in Mangshi, bringing together around 6,000 participants during the region’s famous Water Splashing Festival. Inspired by the traditions of the Dai people, the event combines sport, culture, and celebration in one of China’s most colorful ethnic festivals. Held around the scenic Dai Ancient Town, the race features three unique distances: the 18.16 km Health Run, the 13.14 km Happiness Run, and the 5.2 km Family Run. Participants enjoy festive streets, ethnic cultural performances, and the joyful atmosphere created when marathon running meets the Water Splashing Festival.
