About Events

The EuroSpin Roma–Ostia Half Marathon is one of Italy’s largest and longest-running half marathon events. The race symbolically links two key centers of ancient Roman civilization: Rome, the political and cultural heart of the Roman Empire, and Ostia, its historic maritime gateway. Rome’s historic center is inscribed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, while the race finishes near Ostia Antica, one of the best-preserved ancient Roman harbor cities and also a UNESCO-listed site. Together, they form a historically significant corridor between the imperial capital and the Mediterranean Sea. The course follows a fast and flat route, making it popular among runners seeking strong performance, while its historical context adds cultural depth beyond a standard city race. The Roma–Ostia Half Marathon is a heritage-linked road race that connects ancient Roman urban life with its maritime legacy.
