Founded in 2015, the TSAIGU Kuo Cang Ultra Trail—“Chai Gu Tang Si” in Taizhou dialect, meaning “I’ll beat you up”—is one of China’s toughest ultra trails. Over 100 km and 6,500+ meters of elevation gain, the route links Ziyang Ancient Street, the Jiangnan Great Wall, and Kuo Cang Mountain National Forest Park, crossing more than ten 1,000-meter peaks. From 2024, entry is by lottery, making it a true test of endurance, local spirit, and mountain adventure. TSAIGU blends Taizhou’s millennia-old culture with the extreme challenges of Kuo Cang.
