Xiang–E Longfeng Marathon

Long means Dragon, Feng means phoenix in China. The Xiang-E Longfeng Marathon is one of China’s most successful cross-province marathon events, jointly hosted by Laifeng County in Hubei Province and Longshan County in Hunan Province. First launched in 2023, the race has quickly grown into a popular regional running event, attracting more than 10,000 participants annually. The course is primarily centered in Laifeng County, with sections extending into Longshan County, creating a distinctive inter-provincial marathon experience. Runners enjoy scenic mountain landscapes, riverside roads, and the rich cultural atmosphere of the Tujia and Miao ethnic communities that define the region.
