The Hong Kong 100 Ultra Trail, founded in 2011, is one of Asia’s most iconic and internationally recognized ultra-trail races. The course follows the renowned MacLehose Trail, taking runners across UNESCO Global Geoparks, remote beaches, ancient villages, and up to Hong Kong’s highest peak, Tai Mo Shan (957 m). Celebrated for its challenging yet scenic route, the event showcases Hong Kong’s stunning natural beauty and vibrant outdoor culture. The HK100 was also the first 100 km race in Asia to introduce the “Golden Trophy” finishers award, symbolizing excellence and endurance in trail running.
