Donghai Greenway Half Marathon

The Donghai Greenway Half Marathon is a unique island race held annually in Zhoushan Archipelago, attracting around 4,000 runners. Unlike traditional city marathons, this event takes participants into a spectacular mountain-and-sea environment where nature becomes the centerpiece of the race experience. More than 90% of the course runs along the famous Donghai Cloud Corridor, an elevated greenway often referred to as the “Sky Island Greenway.” The route winds through lush forests, scenic ridgelines, waterfalls, and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the East China Sea. With frequent climbs and rolling terrain, the race offers both a physical challenge and breathtaking coastal scenery. Known as an “Aerial Green Island,” the course is surrounded by clean ocean air and abundant greenery, creating a natural oxygen-rich environment rarely found in urban races. The combination of mountain landscapes, island scenery, and dramatic sea views makes this one of China’s most distinctive destinatio
