About Events

The Hangzhou Women’s Half Marathon is one of China’s leading women-only running events, attracting around 12,000 female runners each year to Hangzhou. As the country’s first women’s marathon event to circle the legendary West Lake, the race combines athletic achievement with the elegance and beauty of one of China’s most celebrated landscapes. Starting from Wulin Square, the course passes many of West Lake’s most iconic landmarks, including Broken Bridge, Bai Causeway, Su Causeway, and Leifeng Pagoda. Runners are immersed in the poetic scenery that inspired the famous “Ten Scenes of West Lake.” The second half of the route extends along the Qiantang River, blending the graceful charm of Jiangnan with the grandeur of Hangzhou’s waterfront skyline. Known for its women-focused atmosphere, spectacular scenery, and premium race services, the Hangzhou Women’s Half Marathon offers one of the most beautiful and memorable running experiences in China.
