Run the China-Russia Cross-Border Marathon in Heihe and experience a unique international course with views of Russia, the Heilongjiang River, and the China–Russia border bridge.
The China-Russia Cross-Border Marathon & Heihe Marathon is one of Asia’s most unique international running events, held annually in Heihe and attracting around 6,000 runners. The race offers a rare opportunity to run between two countries while experiencing the distinctive culture and landscapes of China’s northern frontier. Starting from the Aihui–Tengchong Population Geography Line Theme Park, the course follows the banks of the Heilongjiang (Amur) River, where runners enjoy panoramic river views and clear sights of the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk across the water. Participants then cross the landmark China–Russia Heihe-Heilongjiang Highway Bridge before reaching the Russian border checkpoint at Kanikurgan and returning along the same route. Combining international travel, borderland culture, and spectacular river scenery, the event delivers a truly memorable experience where runners can enjoy the feeling of crossing between two nations in a single race.
