Run the Bingtangyu Great Wall Trail Race and experience rugged mountain trails, ancient Ming Dynasty fortifications, and authentic Great Wall running in northern China.
The Bingtangyu Great Wall Trail Race is a challenging mountain trail event held in Qinhuangdao, combining dramatic natural landscapes with some of the most authentic Great Wall running experiences in China. Designed for trail runners seeking both adventure and history, the race offers a unique journey through the heart of the Yanshan Mountains. The course connects the region’s signature landscapes, including Bingtangyu, Shengdingshan, Luandaoyu, and the spectacular Yanshan Stone Forest. Runners traverse mountain ridgelines, forest trails, rocky terrain, and remote valleys while enjoying panoramic views of northern China’s rugged countryside. The most memorable section is the original Ming Dynasty Great Wall. Unlike sightseeing routes within tourist areas, the Great Wall here forms a genuine part of the race course itself. Participants run directly on centuries-old stonework, passing historic watchtowers and fortifications built by the troops of Qi Jiguang more than 450 years ago. Eve
